YET…

by

i don’t need to know your name… yet…
for your heart speaks
in a voice that’s
quiet…
firm…
full of
majesty…
i said i don’t need to know your name… yet…
or even what your friends call you…
for i met you with my soul…
before my eyes
welcomes you
to
my
world…
i remember a time
when fear was my companion…
loneliness was my skin…
and the wanton whisper of a stranger
was the
enemy…
i remember too…
not so long ago…
how i dallied on a breast
of powdered milk…
it was
cold…
unyielding…
lumpy…
but that was before my mind met… you…
before the knowledge of your warmth
wrapped me in cashmere…
before my trembling lips
made love to nipples…
soft…
warm…
welcoming…
so i don’t need to know your name… yet…
all i need
is to close my eyes…
reach out into a crowded
world…
and feel
only…
you

Within the central heart of my writing... like the rainbow... I engender to reflect the multiple colours of man's nature... from the subtle inconsequential bland... through to a harsh biting grip, that can near tear at the soul of the eyes... yet when taken as a whole... can deliver I trust... the enigmatic elements of the rainbow... that seeks to soothe... and comfort... yet still find the illusive time... to tickle the funnybone...
